Biography

Alison Green

Alison Green has been a Director on the SOCO Board and member of the Audit & Finance Committee since 2013. She is a Regina native, and completed her Bachelor of Administration degree and CMA designation (now CPA, CMA) through the University of Regina. She also has a Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP) and received the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation in 2015 through the Directors College, a joint venture between The Conference Board of Canada and the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. Alison was appointed Chair of the Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation Audit & Finance Committee in November, 2016.

Alison enjoys a career in finance, having worked in the energy sector, banking industry and as a tax specialist. She works at Saveway Tax Services in Regina where she provides tax and accounting services to individuals, families and business clients, and financial planning analysis and advice to clients going through separation and divorce.

In her volunteer life, Alison has been a Rotarian for 20 years and is a past director of the Rotary Club of Regina. She served on the board of CNIB from 1998 to 2010, both on the Division Board and the National Board (2003-2007). She is an Ambassador with the Regina Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of The Collaborative Professionals of Saskatchewan. She is a long-time Saskatchewan Roughriders season ticket holder and a member of the Wascana Country Club.
