Julie Ann Wriston

Julie Ann Wriston is dedicated to creating a business environment that will attract opportunities to build sustainable growth and economic advancement for Métis and First Nations communities. A proud Métis woman from Saskatchewan, Julie Ann is a mother of two inspiring children.


Julie Ann is the owner of Evolution Management Consulting and an associate consultant with Aboriginal Consulting Services (ACS), specializing in building capacity for Métis and First Nations communities in business development. She also provides direction and support to non-Aboriginal companies looking to engage in the Aboriginal sector.


Julie Ann understands the benefits of diversification in business and has created a successful stair and railing company, J Squared Contracting which she co-owns and operates with her husband.

Julie Ann believes that knowledge breaks down barriers. She is passionate about sharing information regarding the contributions and competencies of Saskatchewan's Indigenous community which she does through her role as Features Editor for Eagle Feather News.


Combined with Julie Ann’s past experience as a former CEO in the mining sector, her work with the BRIDG Program at Westcap Mgt. Ltd. and her time with the Métis Nation – Saskatchewan, she has gained valuable expertise in developing effective governance structures, communication and strategic planning and information sharing and inclusion at both the community and private sector industrial business level.


In the community, Julie Ann has served on the City of Saskatoon’s Urban Aboriginal Grant Committee, the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Aboriginal Opportunities Committee and the Affinity Credit Union District Council. She has been a Board member of the Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation since 2013.
