EYES camps reveal the fun in science

Come September, students from Regina and area may be mentioning science and technology in their “how I spent my summer vacation” essay, thanks to the University of Regina’s EYES (Educating Youth in Engineering and Science) camps.

EYES aims to spark curiosity and develop a lasting interest and enthusiasm in science, engineering and technology in children and youth by engaging them in hands-on, fun-filled activities.

EYES camps bring STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to life through theme days focusing on covering density, Lego robots, dissections and more. The program is aimed for youth entering grades four to nine in the fall.

EYES also offers EYES Junior camps for younger children, as well as an All Girls camp and E-Design Codemakers camp. The camps continue to be extremely popular and are currently accepting registrations for wait lists only.

Innovation Place is pleased to sponsor the EYES camps and related programs that help grow the future of Saskatchewan’s vibrant tech sector.
