msi compcamps: where kids explore tech

School’s out, which means that camp’s in! From July 2 to 6 and July 9 to13, youths aged 12–17 will attend the Mentor Systems Inc (MSI) Computer Camps (CompCamps) in Regina.

The MSI CompCamps are non-profit summer camps dedicated to the education of youth in the rapidly changing computing industry.

The campers will spend their week learning, thinking logically, conquering challenges, thriving on group interaction and growing their interest in technology.

Guided by the camp instructors—experts from the tech industry, the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic—they’ll explore topics including core programming fundamentals, graphic design, video production and more, all while they enhance their technical, creative and communication skill sets.

They’ll also have an opportunity to tour ISM’s Centre of Excellence and visit the GasBuddy team at Innovation Place in Regina.

By the end of the week, each camper will be better equipped to address technological challenges and opportunities presented by family, schools and community groups.

Innovation Place is pleased to sponsor CompCamps and related initiatives that help grow Saskatchewan’s vibrant tech sector.

For more information, view the CompCamps website.
