2012 Business Plan Competition - The Tech Venture Challenge

The University of Saskatchewan Industry Liaison Office (ILO) has a new business plan competition for entrepreneurs with a technology based business idea.
The Tech Venture Challenge gives University of Saskatchewan employees, researchers, students and alumni an opportunity to pursue their dream of creating their own company. Finalists will receive ongoing mentorship, guidance and training. The winner will receive $50,000 to go towards the development of the business.

i3 Idea Challenge presented by the W. Brett Wilson Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence is back for another year. The i3 Idea Challenge is a nine month program outside normal classroom time to teach the importance and discipline of innovative thinking (the essence of entrepreneurship) and how wealth is created.
The competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate studies students at the University of Saskatchewan.

The Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Science to Business program encourages students with a PhD in a health related field to pursue an MBA at a Canadian Business School.
To be eligible to apply to this competition, applicants must:
- Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
- Have targeted an MBA program in Canada to which they have applied or are planning to apply with a program start date between January 1, 2012 and July 1, 2013; and
- Have obtained a PhD in a health-related field
The maximum amount awarded for a single award is $30,000 per year for up to two years.
