Winning Pitches Garner $20,000 at Co.Launch Finale

On Thursday, December 6, several hundred tech, entrepreneurial and support enthusiasts gathered at the Delta Bessborough in Saskatoon for the second Co.Launch cohort finale.

The Co.Launch program, a joint venture between Innovation Saskatchewan, Innovation Enterprise, and Co.Labs, is designed to fuel the growth of early-stage tech startups in Saskatchewan and take entrepreneurs from idea to market.

Twelve start-ups participated in the Co.Launch cohort and five were selected to pitch their ideas and compete for $20,000 in prizes. The judging panel included Alicia Soulier of SalonScale, Alice Reimer of Creative Destruction Lab, and Sean O'Connor of Conexus Credit Union.

  • Nelson Wani - Autumn ($5,000 )
    Data analytics and production scheduling software for small and medium manufacturers.

  • Alisha Esmail - Robinhood ($5,000 )
    An online marketplace for coffee exporters to sell directly to roasters while cutting out the middleman.

  • Kristy Ehman - HYON Consignment ($10,000)
    Consignment software that tracks and links to a custom POS system that shows exact amounts of quantities and sales.
