about the innovation place slo pitch league

The Innovation Place slo pitch league runs from the middle of May until end of July. This is a fun co-ed leauge which offers 10 weeks of playing time, playoffs and a weekend tournament and BBQ.

Games take place at Innovation Place's ball diamond, located behind the Dr. Jack McFaull Building, 421 Downey Road. Teams play games from Monday to Thursday.

The pre-season meeting took place April 24. Watch the scene for updates this spring.


league rules

Notes

• The home team is responsible for picking up and dropping off the key
• Every team plays 8 games during the regular season excluding the weekend tournament and playoffs
• Games start at 6:30 pm with a 15 minute grace period
• The top 4 teams from the regular season make the playoffs, single elimination

Rain Days

• We have scheduled 7 rain days this season and if needed there will be two matches played on rain days
• The first game will start at 6:00 pm to accommodate time for second game which starts at 7:30 pm

Defaulting or Rescheduling

• A team not providing any notice for not been able to make a game, simply does not show up or is not able to field 8 players within the 15 minute grace period will default the game
• Teams must provide notice for cancelling or postponing a game before noon the day of
  the game
