Career Opportunity: Senior Property Manager

Innovation Place recently aligned with Innovation Saskatchewan to create a single innovation agency. Innovation Saskatchewan is a government agency that provides recommendations and advice to the Government of Saskatchewan regarding its strategic direction in the areas of research, development, science and technology. Together we will continue to help build a collaborative community and support our vibrant tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Property Manager to join our Research Park Operations division. This position will be responsible for functions related to property management, tenant relations and leasing at our Regina park, including:

Managing the property portfolio — buildings, grounds and amenities — and overall tenant experience including event programming and engagement activities
Working with existing and prospective tenants to determine their requirements and negotiating leases
Providing coordination, oversight and direction of operational budgets, capital budgets, quarterly forecasting and regular financial analysis / reporting
Providing constructive leadership to the Property Management team on a daily basis and in times of change

What We Want from You

Ability to develop great tenant and community relationships through outstanding communication skills
Excellent understanding of leases and legal/contractual issues and documentation
Effective leasing and negotiation skills
Excellent understanding of the commercial real estate market with strong knowledge of laboratory and Class A office space
Ability to make timely decisions and provide clear directions
Strong leadership skills with high comfort in fostering an environment encouraging the open sharing of ideas and team collaboration
On a technical level:
Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada and/or Real Property Administrator (RPA) from the Building Owners and Managers Institute International
7+ years’ experience in property management and/or leasing would be preferred
1 – 2 years’ experience in a leadership position with people management responsibilities would be preferred
