Coconut Software Selected for Google for Startups Accelerator for Women Founders

Congratulations to Coconut Software, a tenant at Innovation Place in Saskatoon, on being chosen to participate in Google for Startups Accelerator for Women Founders. Coconut was selected from over 800 applicants for the first accelerator cohort and is 1 of 5 Canadian startups among the 12-startup cohort.

“I’m excited to make the most of this tremendous opportunity,” Katherine Regnier, Founder and CEO of Coconut Software said in a press release. “To have access to this type of Google programming will only bolster our company further and make our Canadian tech ecosystem stronger.”

Google for Startups Accelerator for Women Founders is a three-month digital accelerator program for technology startups based in the U.S. and Canada that aims to bring the best of Google’s resources to women-led tech startups. The program is designed for tech startups with women founders, or members of the core founding team, in the seed to Series A funding stages and based in Canada or the U.S.

"Coconut Software is evolving the experience between customers and banks," Jason Scott, Google's Head of Startup Developer Ecosystem for the U.S. told Business Insider. "Founder Katherine Regnier has not only built a strong team and company, but is also passionate about growing Canada's startup ecosystem, and supporting other startups in the Prairies, where Coconut Software was founded."

Coconut is an appointment scheduling and lobby management solution platform founded in 2007 by Katherine Regnier and is championed as one of the province’s tech success stories. Coconut and Regnier have been the recipient of several awards, including the WESK Celebration of Achievement Award and the 2020 Women in Tech Silicon Valley Program.
